Today, Lawman Guitars Proudly Presents…
A beautiful historic Guitar. This is a 1920’s USA Supertone by Sears and Roebuck Parlor Guitar with the original softshell case. What a great guitar outfit. This guitar weighs a paultry 2 lbs 7 ozs and is loud as a Dreadnought…what a great guitar…
This awesome Supertone Guitar features all solid woods with a solid spruce top with rope purfling and rosette, Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard on solid mahogany back and sides, bound body with rope purfling at back center seam, Fixed Steel tailpiece with the original bridge spacers, Wood nut and slotted headstock with original brass plate tuners. This ladder braced guitar sounds incredible with a lot of warmth and volume. It has a 1-13/16" wide nut, so it's fantastic for fingerpicking. It has a 12 fret to the body neck with a 24" "Harmony" scale length Neck, 12-3/4' lower bout with a 37" total length. The V shaped neck profile is great, easy to get your hands around and smaller than typical V necks from the era. This was made before Harmony Co. procured the Supertone brand, which dates it to the mid/late 20s to the early 30s.
This cool Parlor Guitar has been restored to excellent playing condition with a Full off neck reset, light fret dressing .. Great action on this guitar. You may even want to raise the action a little. No sore fingers with this guitar. There are dings overall, a lot of finish crazing and a small crack repaired on the back of the neck at the nut area. See pic 9…An ancient repair that is going nowhere. It even has the original Supertone Label inside the soundhole..see pic 13.. It's a surviver with no top cracks or major damage after nearly 90 years and has been restored to play great once again. What a beautiful powerful sound this guitar makes. I love it…
Be sure to check out the the pics of the original Softshell Case. Even the closure works on this one. Original Leather handle and it protects this beautiful guitar even today.
Now this little guitar is beautiful but used and vintage so its sold as-is no returns..however, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 18 years now and they have all loved the guitars I found for them. This beautiful Supertone will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our guitars.
