Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...

This is indeed a very unique guitar. This is a 1968 Martin D-20 12 String with factory installed Martin D45 Headstock Logo…I was shocked when I saw this guitar. Its beautiful, has some cool work done to it and plays great!

I spoke with the Martin Factory People and they indicated they had received the guitar back in the factory in 1996. They said the neck had been reset and the bridge reglued. They didn’t have any info on the Headstock Logo but indicated that it looks like factory work. My original owner of the guitar indicated that he had sent it to the factory for the neck reset, bridge work, new tuners and the Logo was added then. Very very unique for this cool D-20 guitar to have this cool inlaid Martin Logo!

Martin is not known for the easiest playing 12 strings. That was my initial thought when I saw this guitar. They usually need a neck reset to play well. Happy to say, that very expensive work was done by the factory at Martins expense and now it plays great. Awesome low playing action and no indication of any further bridge lifting. The Pickguard looks like it was also reglued as it probably was lifting around the player strumming wear on the top. See pic 4. One strap button hole in the neck heel, see pic 13 and the owner had a passive pickup put in at some point in time. It sounds very nice and easily removed if you don’t need that feature. See pic 14.

This guitar features a Spruce Top and Mahogany Back and sides. Newer Martin enclosed Individual Tuners .. It plays with awesome easy playing action that is a pleasure.

This cool Martin guitar sounds great either unplugged or plugged in. Very warm sound from this body…Just like you would expect a vintage Martin to sound…Great!!.

It comes with the High Quality Original Martin Green interior Hardshell Case. This is the case you want to see with this 1968 guitar. You never see them offered. They are very expensive so I was thrilled that the guitar had the original case. Its in as nice of shape as the guitar.

It is vintage and used so sold no returns as-is...However, I have been hand picking cool vintage guitars for my customers for over 17 years now and all have loved my guitars I sold them. This beautiful Martin 12 string will certainly not be an exception. Please ask any questions and I am happy to do an in-hand phone demo if you would like. Just contact me.

Thanks for checking out our cool Guitars.
