A beautiful 1974 USA Fender Precision Bass Guitar in Sunburst with the Original Fender Hard Shell Case....
This is a one owner Bass that we just got…This cool bass has all original parts including the Pickup and Bridge covers and some extra Case Candy…… this one even has the thumb rest…Original tuners, Strap buttons, pickups, and Pickguard…Check those pics…
This guitar has always had Flat Wounds on it so no real fret wear. Not hardly played …it is gorgeous and hardly any dings or scratches on this beauty…It was definitely babied all its life. I was surprised that even the mute material is still under the tailpiece bridge. This guitar was hardly touched for its long life. What a time capsule…
Heres some info provided by Reverb regarding these really cool Bass Guitars..
As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was an absolutely revolutionary instrument upon its introduction in 1951. The Precision or P Bass evolved throughout the ‘50s with changing electronics, body shape, and cosmetic details. P Basses from after the CBS Fender buyout of 1965 (which brought more of a mass-production style of construction) are of less interest to collectors than their earlier counterparts. By the end of the decade, notable changes include a new thicker polyester finish and a F-style tuning gears.
Years of Production: 1951 - present
Body Style: Double cutaway solidbody
Wood Composition: Alder body, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard
Design Elements: Single-coil split pickup with level pole pieces, tortoiseshell plastic pickguard, 34-inch scale length, dot inlays.
Notable Players: Geezer Butler, Roger Waters, John Deacon, Sting
As cool as the guitar is, the original Fender Bass case is also really cool. The latches, handle and hinges are all correct and still operating ….What a time capsule this guitar and case is…
If that’s not enough…The original owner left his Fender Warranty Card in the case. I have never seen one of these. Very cool historic Case Candy you can keep with your guitar. WOW!!
This guitar is being sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been handpicking my customers guitars for over 18 years now and they have all loved the instruments I find. This one will not be an exception. Any questions will be quickly answered and I am happy to discuss the guitar over the phone for an in-hand demo if you would like.
Thanks for checking out our cool guitars here …
