Today Lawman Guitars is Presenting....
A really nice single owner 1974 Martin D-35 Acoustic Guitar with the original Martin Blue Hard Shell Deluxe Case.
The shop I found this in relayed that the guitar was bought new by their customer and has had it in his home since 1974. It shows..Except for some pic scratches, some player dings and lots of awesome finish crazing, this guitar is stunning! What a time capsule.
This guitar is just beautiful. It was obviously never taken out of the house. All I had to do was clean it up a little and restring it with new Phosphorus Bronze 12’s and here it is. Very proud voice and its really loud. Great low’s and sparkling highs. I love these. This is the third D35 I have had in the shop and I love them…
Here is some information on these beautiful guitars I found on the web.
Introduced as part of the new 35-series in 1965, the D-35 was similar to the D-28 in its use of Rosewood for its back and sides. Key differences between the two dreadnoughts include cosmetic styling and binding details, as well as the use of a three-piece back on the D-35. Like other Martins, a major point of differentiation for the D-35 came in 1969 when Martin began the transition from Brazilian to Indian Rosewood.
Years of Production: 1965 - present
Wood Composition: Rosewood 3 piece back and sides, Spruce top, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard
Design Elements: Three-piece back, six-ply top binding, black pickguard, bound fingerboard, dot inlays
Notable Players: Johnny Cash, Judy Collins, Ernest Tubb
This guitar was gone over by our Techs… Awesome playing neck action. The neck had been reset by the original owner by Martin… Frets are in great shape and it plays and sounds great! Check those pics!
This guitar is beautiful but vintage and used so it is sold no returns as -is. However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 18 years now and they all loved the guitars I found for them…This gorgeous Martin will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our cool Guitars…
