This is a one owner guitar and is in terrific shape. Heres some info I found on the really rare Taos Turqouise finish…
In 1956, Fender offered a very rare custom color option called Taos Turquoise. Nonstock finishes were specified in Fender literature and in 1957 Fender began to offer a larger array of official custom colors. The Stratocaster in sunburst finish was $249.50 without tremolo and $274.50 with tremolo. Fender also added an extra 5% for a DuPont custom color or a blonde finish and $49.50 for a hard case…

This guitar weighs only 7 lbs 10 ozs. Nitro lacquer finish and all the wear and dings you would see on a nicely preserved 1956 guitar. Not beat too much but not pristine either. Just right. I have seen some of these with “heavy relic” and they look pretty fake to me…this one wears it well.
This guitar plays and sounds fantastic. I played it for about an hour in the shop before deciding to take it. I have a 1963 Strat and this one felt right at home in my hands. They call the neck a soft V profile but I really find it more as a pronounced C profile. Just my opinion. I love playing it.. What a player. Excellent action and the neck is dead straight. Plays like a dream. Very very cool sounds coaxed from this beautiful guitar.
Lets talk about the CASE CANDY…it comes with all but the guitar cord. It has the Certificate of Authenticity, Warranty info, case keys, bridge tool, Fender Polish Cloth, (unused), Hang Tag, 3 Way Pickup Selector Switch, ( 5 way is installed now), Fender Strap, (it was used but very good shape), Extra Trem Springs and packaging like originals in 1956, Shown Bridge Cover and Whammy Bar….WOW…this guitar has it all. Check out the pics..
Comes with the black tolex "Limited Edition" Fender case, with all the case candy and COA. This case is as nice as the guitar. Excellent condition.
Sold as-is as its used, however, I have been handpicking vintage guitars for my customers for over 17 years now and they have all loved them. This cool Strat will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our cool vintage guitars.
