Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...

No..this is not the same Smoke Green 1964 Gretsch Double Anniversary I sold last year. I found another of these cool guitars!

A 1964 Gretsch Double Anniversary Two Tone Green Guitar with the original Hilotron Pickups. It comes in the shown Original Gretsch Hardshell Case thats as nice of shape as the guitar. This is a one owner guitar that has been babied since bought new. It has been played...some fingerboard divots and pitting of the frets at the top few frets..see pic 5..A few dings and scratches but really nothing to note except the small missing part of the original Pickguard. See pic 4...

Be sure to see the Video Demo I did for the other Gretsch I sold last year. Not this guitar but almost identical including the 1964 date of manufacture. Check it out!

We dated this guitar to 1964 from the serial number inside the F hole..see pic 12..Hard to take a pic of it but the label is still there.

This guitar was not gigged...No real back rash and best of all...THE BINDINGS ARE IN ALMOST PERFECT SHAPE except for a small area around the neck joint... see pics 8 and 9... Stress has created a little deterioration of the binding and the finish has cracked slightly around the joint. Our techs said it is infinitely stable and best of all...it doesn't need a neck reset. The neck angle is perfect. Awesome easy playing action on this beauty.. As you Gretsch owners know, the bindings are always deteriorating on these old timers and most need a neck reset... I was thrilled to see this one did not have those maladies.

Everything works as it should. All I did was clean it up, added new 10 guage strings and adjust the floating bridge to intonate it. Then I proceeded to enjoy playing this guitar for about an hour!! It sounds and plays great. Low action that has some room left to lower it a little, it doesn't need it, and plenty of room to raise it for your playing preference. It had higher gauge strings on it. I think the previous owner played Jazz..this guitar ROCKS with 10's...you decide...

The Hardshell case is in as great of shape as the guitar. All latches, hinges and original handle are present and working.  A really great original case for this cool guitar.

These guitars are being remade by Gretsch. Made in China and surprisingly expensive. A reproduction depending on appointments will run anywhere from $1800 to $2500....You can have this original Gorgeous 1964 Double Anniversary for about the same money. No contest for me...Grab this one while you can.

This guitar is being sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. Rest assured though, I have been handpicking my customers guitars for over 17 years now and they have all loved theirs. This Gretsch beauty will not be an exception. Any questions will be quickly answered and I am happy to discuss the guitar over the phone for an in-hand demo if you would like.

Thanks for checking out our cool guitars here at Reverb.com
